Last week we finished up our school and now are enjoying the sweetness of a break. With all the activities it was hard to persevere in our lessons, but we got through! :)
The kids built a terrarium for their final project in NOEO Science (Biology II). They thought it was pretty cool! I loved how it showed them the water cycle & evaporation right before their eyes. As the droplets of water formed on top of the jar I showed Sarah that it was going to "rain" on her newly planted seeds. She thought this was very neat and was thrilled to see her little seeds have already sprouted!
Although NOEO was a lot of reading, it did have some great hands-on projects and the kit included everything we needed, love that! I'll be starting to hunt for science projects to finish out our year before looking for a new program for next year.
You know Christmas is near when we start shelling pistachio nuts to make our Pistachio Cranberry White Chocolate bark. YUMMY. Sarah enjoys this job as she gets to nibble on one of her favorite nuts as she cracks away!

We are doing Jotham's Journey this year for Advent and I must say it's fantastic. The cliff hangers keep the children begging for more! I love how it keeps us focused on Christ over the Christmas season. It's important to take that time each day to pause and reflect. It's exciting to think that Christmas is less than a week away. I love this season in all the preparations, excitement and time with family.
May this season bring you & your family cherished memories and thankfulness for the love of our Savior.
Merry Christmas.
