Our days "off" have been filled to the brim with fun activities! Sarah's Craft Club was cancelled last month so she had Eva over this week and Megan did their craft (braided headbands) with them. The girls had oodles of fun that day crafting, sledding & playing games.
Oh, and yes, Megan lives in her apron ;-)
The other morning Sarah was up first so I had her start on a little craft project for our "Christmas Cheer" deliveries later that morning. As Megan has been busy baking scrumptious goodies (I believe she told me the other day she made 21 different treats!) we have been preparing for our gifting of these sweet treats! Sarah was thrilled to be asked to make the toppers for our 'Monkey Mix' packages. She got out the alpha dots, an alphabet set, ink and of course a little glitter glue & went to work... all by herself! I was very proud with how well she did. :)
We took a photo of some of our deliveries that were going out that day. The children placed their Santa hats upon their heads and gave warm Christmas greetings to friends & neighbors.
It was a great morning!
Here's a closer look at the monkey mix Megan made (so delicious & addicting) and the great job Sarah did on the decorative toppers!
Daddy surprised the children in the evening by coming home on the early bus - LOTS of squeals of delight as they knew once Daddy was home the festivities would begin!
We ordered in pizza & wings (which we rarely do!) and had a family movie night.
Ah, the sweet memories :)
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Thank you for the wonderful delivery! Daddy has been into them a little and said to the kids "I'm just testing them to make sure they're good". He wasn't doubting Megans skill, it was obviously the Dad thing to say when you're hand is caught in the cookie jar. Hhaa Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThey had so much fun piling out of the truck and wishing everyone a merry Christmas. Hope you had some special family time too this season. :)
