High time for a post I'm thinking.
Life has been happening. A little faster and a little crazier than I would like which is why I haven't posted in quite some time.
Let's see.... pregnancy complications, needing to move at the end of this month (still to an unknown place as we've yet to find a house), needing another vehicle as baby #5 officially has us outgrowing our truck, trips to Edmonton for baby care, Joshua breaking his wrist, his skin condition requiring trips to specialists and now off to Calgary... so those are a few decisions going on right now.
There have also been good things, no... great things!
Megan's braces are officially OFF, Joshua celebrated his 13th birthday, Sarah saved her money - rolled A LOT of coins - and bought her very own iPod Touch {she was silly with excitement!}, Matthew is potty-trained {woot! woot!} and saying so many adorable new words, the weather is warming up {snow is nearly ALL gone!}, aside from all the complications - baby is growing :)
So, what about school?
With levels of exhaustion reaching an all-time high the kids have been left to their own a bit more than I would like. However, they are doing brilliantly! Some classes are finishing up (Megan has completed her literature for the year and is 1/2 way through her exceptional writing class), Joshua is seeing the light at the tunnel and is blasting through a lot of his bookwork, and Sarah has literally pages left in her Math (which thrills her more than you can imagine!) :)
Sarah thought this was a bit of a gross science experiment as she learned how stomach acid help digests food. Quite a visual she got with the difference the acid made on a piece of bread vs. chewed gum!
The weather is beginning to warm up and melt away the snow. Kids took full advantage of that and did some of their schoolwork outdoors!

Art this week.... egg decorating ;)
I've been in planning mode for next year. Nearly done and I'm excited with some of the changes that we're making.
Looks like a fun, fresh new year!
I'm very excited to hear about those school changes you're going to make!! Email me the final list???
ReplyDeleteLovely batch of eggs! Very colourful indeed!!!
I'm going to try to encourage some trampoline bookwork for my own kids. Though I'm imagining fist fights for bounce-causing-scribbles :(
EW! bleh! Not quite sure I'd like the stomach acid visual either though it would be interesting. Way to go Sarah on saving for your own Ipod touch!! Quite an accomplishment.
Wishing you all the best with that looming move! Sure wish I could be there to help!
I LOVE your attitude. In amidst all the lifey stuff you are full of celebrating all the really good stuff, and your are so right, there is alot!
