Coming to an end.

It's always sad when a holiday ends, and this holiday is no exception. We love Arizona. The heat, the friends we've made, the never-ending sights and places to see & explore - it has been a blast! Tomorrow is our last full day here and we're all feeling a little depressed. Returning home does have many positives (school starts up again, I'm certain that's #1 on the kids' list! *snicker!*), soccer try-outs start, bible study, our own bed (although the one is here fabulous!), routine...
These are good, but Arizona will be missed!
Emily has been with us most days. Her Dad actually started calling her Emily Gray! She has just slipped into our family and we are going to miss her!
I will not miss scorpions!
This one (yes, with his tail up in the striking position!) was found on the living room floor. Education class sprung into action as we learned about scorpions and how to locate others that might be in the house.
The AZ landscape - always takes our breath away. I will be soaking it all up as we drive out on Friday taking many mental photos along the way.
The landscape here is so different. It makes us really appreciate grass and how much we really do like our rolling fields!
Quadding accidents will not be missed, but riding the sand dunes will be.
Day trips.
After a day or two of being home, David is usually itching to get back into the truck to see something new. This day we made our way to Bullhead City and Laughlin. Within an hour we had been in 3 states! :)
IN-N-OUT Burger.
We have never eaten here before (usually skip the fast food joints), but we have heard so much about it we thought we'd try. We are glad we did! It was a cute diner type restaurant with fresh burgers, pretty good fries and yummy milkshakes!
Cotton fields.
We drove by cotton fields on our way to Bullhead and had never seen cotton bales before. We all wondered what they would feel like. Scratchy or soft?
Sunsets.
Some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen are here in AZ.
These will be missed.
Giving thanks to God for his amazing creation and blessing us with this special time.
